It’s hard for even me to believe all the animals I have painted to bless those who love their furry and feathered friends! Some of these animals are WILD and some are just fun. Most of these paintings you see have been cropped to fit this space. If you click on them you can see them as they were painted or please click on the links below
Some of these critters aren’t exactly PETS, and you may not want to go anywhere near a few of them to pet them… If you have a photo of a special friend you might want to have painted, please reach out to me! Message me here or email me at email@example.com Please Visit www.prayersandpaintbrushes.com GALLERY and view FURRY and FEATHERED FRIENDS.
NO VOTING REQUIRED! But if you specially like any of the above, I hope you’ll reply in the comments or on my website – JOY! Encouraging words are balm to the soul (and to the paintbrush~)
The very last painting has a charming story! I was contacted by a woman who wanted to celebrate her 20th wedding anniversary. She and her husband are evidently very different personalities, and many years ago she had found a card with a skunk and a porcupine battling to stay afloat on a log in a raging torrent. She beat herself up for many years for not saving the card. She found me, and asked if I could try to reproduce it. And here it is.
I hope this makes you SMILE today!! Please comment or 😍
Would you join me for a walk through some of My Gallery? These are just some of my favorites. I’m grateful I discovered the joy of watercolors. It has brought me much joy. If you like my paintings, I would be honored if you would share my website and/or my blog with one of your friends. Thank you for stopping by today!
I had a lot of fun painting this rooster. They are lively colorful noisy creatures! As I was looking at this painting I was reminded of Jesus telling his friend, Peter that Peter would deny Him 3 times before the cock crowed the next morning. Peter loved Jesus and had just told Him that he would die for Him! Well, in theory maybe. But in reality, just as Jesus had seen and known, the rooster would crow and Peter would run.
Jesus doesn’t exist in time as we do. He did have to function in time while He was with us on earth, yet even then, He could see and know what had yet to happen. That gives me comfort! I am a True Fan of HINDSIGHT. I love being able to look back and see clearly what previously made no sense to me. Hindsight is 20/20, they say! But with FAITH in Jesus, I can trust in the One who knows the end from the beginning. Even in my darkest times, when my life seems uncertain, I rest on His wisdom and faithfulness. I trust His knowing rather than my own.
One of my favorite Bible verses is probably also one of yours: Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowedge Him, and He will direct your paths. Prov 3:5,6
Lord, we need You
So we ask You to lead and guide us. We make decisions and choices based on limited information and faulty wisdom. We invite you into our mess — we have tried and often times feel we have failed. Yet You use all the circumstances in our lives to ultimately shape and mold us. Help us to shine Your Light and to be faith-filled sojourners here on earth. We need Your strength as ours often fails us. As You’ve promised to guide us, You’ve also promised
“… that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6 NIV
I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come… Isaiah 46:10
