Teach Me Your Paths

I have loved painting paths for some reason. Wondering where they go; are they relaxing, unsettling, stressful? Do they actually lead to a destination or to another fork in the road requiring another major decision? Are they smooth and even or bumpy and filled with potential hazards? Regardless, the idea of paths on the roads of life has inspired me and led to several paintings. Each strives to tell a story without the use of words. Each of these can be found in The Gallery on my website

What kind of a path are you on…are you taking one step at a time or are you stuck… Sometimes we can’t clearly see what lies ahead, and that can be stressful. I know many who have been significantly challenged these past many months and suddenly find themselves on an unexpected road. We are not alone. He goes with us if we will but ask. Jesus said, “I am The Way…” (John 14:6) Reach for His hand of love, forgiveness, redemption and healing. And keep walking

God has promises throughout the Bible to encourage and spur us on:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11-13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Trust the Lord with all your heart leaning not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. Prov. 3:5, 6

Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. Psalm 25:4

Lord, ALL of us are confused by the “street signs” and the messages coming at us from countless directions creating confusion, frustration and sometimes distrust. We do not recognize our world these days and what we see can be unsettling. But you encourage us to TRUST YOU, to continue in prayer – asking You for wisdom which You promise to give (James 1:5) So we ask You to Guide us, O Thou Great Jehovah. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. (Matt. 6:13) And show us Your way forward that we may keep walking and reflect Your love and light to those around us. Loving and needing you, Lord~

Go in peace on your journey this day.
