I have always loved to write. I scribbled in a diary, typed on a typewriter, hand wrote in a journal, then took to the computer to try to make sense of my life. I actually thought I’d write a book someday. My secret writing wasn’t going to be story telling however, but instead a means with which to process my emotions and the often painful circumstances of my life.
Several years ago when Prayers and Paintbrushes was born I realized I wanted to incorporate my love of words and my faith in Jesus with my love of painting. I prayed HARD about this one! So A few years ago, I began sitting down once a week and asking the Lord what I should say to encourage and point friends to look up to Christ. This has been a commitment from the depths of my heart to bring color, beauty, and hope to others.
There is much prayer that goes into each post I write and I am hopeful my prayers and my paintings speak to you. I share this because God has REINVENTED me! Those of you who know me, know from where I’ve come to where I find myself now. God has blessed me so amazingly, that I feel compelled to share my trust in Him with you! He loves you. He hears you when you pray. He KNOWS!! He is as close as a tearful whisper of invitation from your lips.
